Wrecking ball to hit 4th Ave. strip center
Soon the strip center at 1660 S. 4th Ave. — the former home of Pets Plus and some other businesses — will be history.
The city has received an application for a permit to demolish the building, reported Alan Kircher, city of Yuma deputy building official.
All the former tenants have either moved to new locations or closed, and the building is vacant.
The building was purchased by the city for future improvements to the 4th Avenue-16th Street intersection.
