ABRiO Family Service & Supports opens branch in Yuma
Comments 0 | Recommend 0ABRiO Family Service & Supports opened their new branch last week in Yuma with the unyielding intention to support and provide independent living for people with developmental disabilities and elderly, who wish to remain in their home.
"We are very happy to bring our services to Yuma," said Laura Marsh, District Director for ABRiO Family Service & Supports. "Here in ABRiO, we will provide home care services, respite and habilitation and residential support. For the moment we're not offering the complete services we provide in our other places, but hopefully very soon we will be able to do it."
Personal care services begins with a free in-home evaluation by a service coordinator from ABRiO.
"In ABRiO each service is individualized based on direct feedback from the family needs," said Marsh. "And this service is not only for the elderly, it all depends on each case. We interview the family here or at home, and gather information about their personal needs. Our certified staff is trained to fulfill the customers needs."
ABRiO Family Service & Supports is one of the largest family services companies in Arizona, which includes Phoenix, Flagstaff, Page, Cottonwood, Kingman, Bull Head City, Lake Havasu City, Parker and now Yuma. They provide in-home services to different agencies in the community, as well as for individuals who need extra help with their daily activities. However, their core mission is to provide independent living support.
"We want people to know that with us they have a choice," said Marsh. "The difference between ABRiO and other providers is that we provide a wider range of choices. Families are happy with us, and they get the best services available. And we resolve problems to our customers’ satisfaction."
For people looking for a career change, ABRiO Family Service & Supports also offers employment programs like Job Coaching and Skills Training, which focuses on health care skills.
"The other thing we would like the community to know, is that if they would like for a family member take care of them, we can train that person," said Marsh. "They have that choice, we will assist them in selecting a caregiver according to their needs, which is what is most important to us."
ABRiO offers a wide variety of services. Respite, a program that offers relief for a caregiver or family member, serves as a companionship and socialization to the client. Attendant Care, direct physical assistance for the individual to assist the client with maintaining a safe and healthy lifestyle, is yet another service provided by this agency. It includes meal preparation, housekeeping, personal care, bathing, grocery shopping, and grooming. Another option is Habilitation, which focuses on teaching skill development to maximize independence.
"We want to let the Yuma community know that we are very excited to offer these services, and we invite them to call us so they may find out if we have the kind of service they need," added Marsh.
