Mitchell W. Patton

Air Force Capt. Mitchell W. Patton has arrived for duty to the Presidential Emergency Operations Center in Washington, D.C.

Patton is an intercontinental ballistic missile requirements division - command lead, ground based strategic deterrent assigned to the Air Force Global Strike Command at Barksdale Air Force Base, La. The captain has served in the military for nine years.

Patton, the son of Paula and Dennis Snook, of Somerton, is a 1993 graduate of Cibola High School and received a bachelor's degree in 1998 from Arizona State University.

John L. Carlson

Air Force Airman John L. Carlson has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Carlson, the son of Rial Carlson and brother of Jessica Campbell, both of Yuma, is a 2012 graduate of Gila Ridge High School.

Ryan T. Santana

Army National Guard Pvt. Ryan T. Santana has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson in Columbia, S.C.

Santana, the son of Helaman Lopez and grandson of Marilynn Orman, both of Yuma, is a 2010 graduate of Kofa High School.

Teresa Trevino

Army Pfc. Teresa Trevino has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson in Columbia, S.C. and recently graduated from Advanced Individual Training as an unmanned aerial system operator. She will be stationed in Korea.

Trevino is the daughter of John and Yolanda Trevino of Yuma.
