Kicking up a cloud of dust, an excavator tears up what used to be the westside curb and sidewalk Wednesday along Arizona Avenue south of 16th Street. The demolition is part of the reconstruction of the Arizona Avenue and 16th Street intersection, which is being done in advance of the widening of 16th Street from Yuma Palms Regional Center to Arizona Avenue.
