Atkinson-Shergur wedding

Charlotte Brooke Atkinson and Dr. Jason Michael Shergur were married in Las Vegas on Oct. 4, 2007. They had a reaffirmation of their vows and reception at Julieanna's Patio Cafe April 5, 2008.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Charles W. Patterson of Yuma and Mr. and Mrs. Hal F. Atkinson of Encino, Calif., and was a former employee of Yuma Family Dental. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Shergur of Louisville, Ky., a graduate of the University of Kentucky and is employed with Homeland Security.

The bride wore a floor-length, champagne-colored wedding gown embellished with crystals and pearls, and wore jewels in her hair. She carried a bouquet of stargazer lilies illuminated with lights.

Father Foley performed the ceremony. Music was a trio of strings provided by Janet Jones.

The couple will be making their home in Washington, D.C.
