Luis Barajas (left) and his wife Mary pose proudly Monday morning with the Most Influential Hispanic of 2009 award he received at the Yuma Sun office. The award was announced Friday. Barajas, a former high school principal and financial services adviser to students at Arizona Western College, received the award on the basis of his service to the Yuma community and his dedication to youth, helping young people attain their dreams.
