Some top-notch dancers from San Diego will be joining local dancers on the same stage Saturday during the show "Current and Classic."
The evening of dance, staged by Ballet Yuma, will feature guest-artist performances from City Ballet of San Diego, plus CONDER/ dance out of Phoenix. The latter is a dance company founded by Carley Conder, a graduate of Ballet Yuma.
"Current and Classic" begins at 7:30 p.m. in Snider Auditorium, 400 S. 6th Ave. Admission is $10, $12 and $15. Tickets are available in advance at Dillard's and will be sold at the door. For more information, call 345-1534.
Two dancers from City Ballet of San Diego will join Yuma dancers in presenting the second act from the famous ballet "Giselle."
"I consider them the top ballet group in San Diego," said Kathleen Sinclair with Ballet Yuma. "They were the first people I thought of asking to come perform with us."
