LOCAL GLANCE Dec. 14: Baseball, prep basketball, prep soccer

Up three goals with less than eight minutes to play, Kofa boys soccer coach Jamie Nicewander thought it was safe to put in his backups against Gila Ridge.

He was almost wrong.

Gila Ridge scored two late goals, but it wasn't enough in the Kings' 4-3 win over the Hawks Friday.

Jesus Felix had the decisive fourth goal for the Kings. Marvin Garcia had a goal and an assist, and Salvador Ramirez and Danny Urias had goals for the Kings (5-0).
