More than books
There’s a place — actually several different places – in the Yuma area where, if you’re a mom with a young daughter, you can learn to do crafts with her.
Places where, if you’re a Spanish speaker, you can study English; where, if you’re a student taking a Spanish class, you can get help with your homework; where you can learn basic computer or guitar skills, in either English or Spanish.
You can learn how to go rock hounding, how to sew or quilt, how to write fiction or non-fiction.
These topics, and more, are presented in programs offered at Yuma Main Library and its branches around the county. And they’re free and open to the public. To find out when they take place, visit www.yumalibrary.org.
Libraries are no longer just places for books.
