Cibola perfect in Brawley

The Cibola boys cross country team scored a perfect 15 points Monday at a three-way meet in Brawley.
The girls team also won at Cattle Call Park, scoring 19 points, Brawley, Calif. had 43 and Thermal, Calif.-Desert Mirage had 68. On the boys side, Brawley had 55 and Desert Mirage had 76.
Bernie Montoya won the boys race in 15 minutes, 53 seconds. Jose Garcia took second in 17:47, Christian Perez third in 18:01, Alan Verdugo fourth in 18:15 and Luis Garazay fifth in 18:26.
The girls had the top three finishers — Monica Huston (19:44), Andi Bedoya (22:13) and Ally Jeffers (23:38).
