Break out the sunglasses, Yuma
Break out the sunglasses, Yuma!
I was reading an article in Men’s Health titled, “4 Surprising Things That Wreck Your Mood,” and one of them was “bright sunlight.”
The story states, “Squinting at the sun increases feelings of anger and aggression by up to 44 percent … Your mood and your facial muscles are linked, and the way your eyebrows dip and cheek muscles pinch when you squint mimics your expression when angry. As a result, your expression coaxes your brain toward feelings of irritation.”
The solution is obvious: Wear sunglasses.
If you believe that, we would be a community of nothing but grumpy guses, right? I mean, we certainly get our share of the fiery orb’s glow, something like 365 days a year. But we are very cool people down here in the sunny Southwest. So we must be the exception to the research, right? Or rather, we must be exceptional.
OK, where did I put my shades?
