Exchanged vows - Gutierrez-Spencer

Patricia K. Lopez Gutierrez and James R. Spencer exchanged vows during an afternoon ceremony June 14 at Community Christian Church.

Their parents are Patricio and Maria L. Lopez and the Rev. Robert J. and Helen M. Spencer, all of Yuma.

The bride wore a white two-piece corset top and skirt with a white tulle veil and carried two-tone white and pink roses and white roses.

Cecilia Arias, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Julieta Valenzuela; Sarahi Lopez, bride's sister; Kris Franz; Raquel Escobedo, bride's cousin; and Leah Carroll. They wore Palm Beach coral gowns from David's Bridal and carried roses of yellow, fuchsia, red and orange. Alba Sarai Tudor served as flower girl.

Royen Springer was best man. Groomsmen were Mark De Young; George Myer; Richard Fontaines; Jose Lopez, bride's brother; and Johnathan L. Spencer, groom's brother. Ulysses Isaiah Arias, bride's nephew, served as ring bearer.

The bride was given away by her father. Paul Mondragon performed the ceremony, with David Magaña translating. The reception was at Shilo Inn with music by DJ Benjamin Franz. The couple honeymooned with a cruise to Ensenada. They reside in Yuma.

Both are graduates of Yuma High School. The bride attended Arizona Western College, and the groom graduated from Arizona State University.
