'GOOD MORNING YUMA!'

  The monthly "Good Morning Yuma!" will be held at 6:30 a.m. Thursday at the Ramada Inn-Chilton Conference Center, 300  E. 32nd St. The sponsor is United Way's Cradle to Kinder Program. Cost is $15 per person. No RSVP is required.

JOB HUNTING WORKSHOPS

  The Arizona Western College Office of Career Development will offer the following workshops at the Heritage Branch Library, 350 3rd Ave.:

 • Stepping up your job search will meet from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday. It will include job search resources, using the library in your job search, and job application tips.

 • Marketing yourself will meet from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. This workshop will discuss resumes, cover letters and E-portfolios, and how to use these tools to market yourself when searching for a job.

ANNUAL SAFETY DAY

  The annual Safety Works Expo sponsored by SCF Arizona will be held Wednesday at the Yuma Civic Center to provide information on workplace safety to reduce accidents and injuries on the job.

  This month's safety classes offered by the Arizona Division of Occupational Safety and Health will be held Sept. 16, with a class on confined space entry in the morning and an afternoon class on respiratory safety.

BEGINNING QUICKBOOKS
  Two sessions of a hands-on QuickBooks workshop for beginners will be held Sept. 19, with one session from 9 a.m. to noon and an afternoon session from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Arizona Western College Small Business Development Center, 1351 S. Redondo Center Drive. Cost of $91 includes a textbook.
