“Keep calm” in keeping with the times
You’ve probably seen some of the popular "Keep Calm" quotes on merchandise and on social media sites. Keep Calm and Carry On was originally on a propaganda poster produced by the British government in 1939 during the beginning of World War II. It was intended to raise the morale of the British public after widely predicted mass air attacks on major cities. In 2000, the poster was rediscovered, has been reissued by many private companies and is now used as the decorative theme for multiple products. Keep Calm and Eat a Cupcake. Keep Calm and Drink Coffee. Keep Calm and Think of the Beach. In the Stars Wars theme, there’s Calm You Must Keep and Carry On You Will. As we face uncertainty in our daily lives, whether it’s with our jobs, our families, health concerns or any other challenge, there’s something to be said for keeping calm and taking a deep breath. OK, I feel better.
