Shamrocks end regular season with win at River Valley
The Yuma Catholic volleyball team did its part, sweeping River Valley 25-20, 25-12, 25-17 on Wednesday in its season finale.
Now the Shamrocks (14-4) play the waiting game.
Yuma Catholic was 16th in the last power point standings released this regular season, holding on to the final spot in the AIA Division IV Tournament. They'll find out Saturday if they're in when the brackets are released.
“Hopefully we're still there or even higher,” coach Maris Grasis said. “We'll practice this week like we normally would, and prepare as if we are going.”
Chelsey Mendenhall had 30 assists for the Shamrocks, Kalaina Barnett had 10 kills and 12 digs, and Amanda Milnick had seven kills against the Dust Devils.
