Chocolate lovers: coming temptations
Chocolate has received a variety of comments on whether it is good or bad for the consumer.
Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Heritage Branch Library, 350 S. 3rd Ave., chocolate trivia and some tasty treats will be provided by Alyssa Lines.
She is a Dove chocolatier and creates treats from what Webster's dictionary describes as "Noun: a paste from ground cacao seeds; candy, drink made from this. Adjective: dark brown."
The free event is open to the public.
There will be opportunity to enter to win door prizes of a Dove Chocolate gift basket and complimentary tickets to the sixth annual Death by Chocolate fundraiser 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the Foothills Library, 13226 E. South Frontage Road.
Tickets for the upcoming fundraiser are $30 each or two for $50. Proceeds support the Yuma County Libraries Summer Reading programs.
