Journey to Bethlehem
First United Methodist Church, 298 W. 3rd St., will display over 300 nativities from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today. Baked goods and boutique items will be available for sale during the event. Admission is a can of nonperishable food or $1 for Yuma Community Food Bank.
Blood drive
St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 11545 E. 40th St., will hold a blood drive from 8 a.m. to noon today at the Father John Friel Centre. To schedule an appointment, visit www.unitedbloodservices.org.
Cookie sale
Calvary Lutheran Women's Missionary League, 711 7th Ave., will hold its annual cookie sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at $3.50 per dozen. Proceeds will go to support mission programs.
Christmas musicals
The adult musical “Silent Night, Holy Night” will be performed at 6 p.m. Sunday at Foothills Southern Baptist Church, 13148 E. 40th St. The Christmas shoe tree children's musical will be 6 p.m. Dec. 16. There will be a special service at 6 p.m. Christmas Eve.
Midweek meditation
Yuma Center for Spiritual Living, 781 S. 2nd Ave., invites the public to a special medication service at noon Wednesday. A potluck luncheon will follow. For more information, call 782-7885 or 246-4494.
Las Posadas
Las Posadas procession will begin in front of Immaculate Conception Church, 505 S. Avenue B, at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 20 and end in St. Anne's Hall with the placing of the baby Jesus in the manger.
There will be singing by Immaculate Conception Church religious education students and matachines dancers. Traditional Mexican food dishes will be available for purchase. For more information, call the parish office at 782-7516.
Clothes for the needy
Central Church of Christ, 651 W. 28th St., will give free clothes for the needy from 9:30 a.m. to noon Thursdays.
Gospel sing
The public is invited to the Bard gospel sing 6 to 8 p.m. Arizona time every Friday at Bard Community Building, 1250 Bard Road. A potluck will follow.
