Yard sale
St. John Neumann Knights of Columbus Council 8305 will have a yard sale in the east parking lot of St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 11545 E. 40th St., from 7 a.m. to noon today. There will be a wide assortment of merchandise, and coffee and donuts available to purchase. No early birds. All proceeds from the sale will be used for Knights youth charities. Survival seminar
Jere Franklin from Sanctuary Ranch in British Columbia will conduct a free seminar on how to survive during times of natural or man-made disasters at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. today at Gila Mountain Seventh-day Adventist Church, 13384 S. Fortuna Road. There will be an emphasis on preparation: physically, mentally and spiritually. There will be a book signing in the evening.
Mexican dinner
St. John Neumann Church, 11545 E. 40th St., will have a Mexican dinner from 2 to 5:30 p.m. today. There will be chiles rellenos or beef fajitas, both served with rice and beans. Cost is $8. Meals can be either eat in or take out.
Gospel meeting
Bob F. Owen, former president of Florida College, will be the guest speaker during a gospel meeting from 6 to 7 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday at Church of Christ, 555 12th St. For more information, call 783-5853.
Gospel concert
The public is invited to hear Dr. Calvin Taylor in concert at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday at First Presbyterian Church, 598 S. 7th Ave.
Buffet breakfast
St. John Neumann Church, 11545 E. 40th St., will have a buffet breakfast from 7 to 10 a.m. Tuesday. There will be eggs, both regular and Denver, bacon or sausage, pancakes or waffles, potatoes, toast, orange juice and coffee. Cost is $7.
Memorial celebration
The public is invited to a memorial/celebration sing for Ray and Evelyn McCollom and Marge Cates from 6 to 8 p.m. Arizona time Friday at the Bard gospel sing at Bard Community Building, 1250 Bard Road. A potluck will follow.
Spaghetti dinner
St. John Neumann Church, 11545 E. 40th St., will have a spaghetti dinner from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Jan. 31. Includes spaghetti, meatballs, salad, garlic bread, dessert, coffee, tea or milk. Cost is a donation of $10, which includes one glass of wine. Wine and beer will be available for purchase. The Yuma Barbershop Chorus will follow at 6:30 p.m. All tickets will be pre-sold at the parish office. No tickets will be sold at the door.
Music fellowship
Ron and Opal Erickson will present the Legacy Gospel music fellowship concert every Tuesday at Community Christian Church, 6480 E. Highway 95. There will be food, snacks, and coffee from 1 to 2 p.m., concert from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Free; donations accepted.
Clothes for the needy
Central Church of Christ, 651 W. 28th St., will give free clothes for the needy from 9:30 a.m. to noon Thursdays.
