Valentine's dinner, dance
St. John Neumann Church, Father Friel Centre, 11545 E. 40th St., will have a Valentine's dinner and dance from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. today, with dinner served from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. only. There will be a mariachi band, DJ and two door prizes.
Cost is $20. Beer, tequila and wine will be available. Tickets will be in the church office. For information, call 342-3544.
El Centro assembly
The Spanish-speaking public is invited to a two-day assembly for Jehovah's Witnesses from 9:40 a.m. to 3:55 p.m. today and Sunday at the Jimmie Cannon Theater for the performing arts at Southwest in El Centro.

Financial seminar
Victory Community Church, 11358 S. Avenue 9E, will host a free seminar with attorney Roy T. Heggland at 2 p.m. Sunday.

Buffet breakfast
St. John Neumann Church, 11545 E. 40th St., will have a buffet breakfast from 7 to 10 a.m. Tuesday. There will be eggs, both regular and Denver, bacon or sausage, pancakes or waffles, potatoes, toast, orange juice and coffee. Cost is $7.
Prophecy seminar
Yuma Central Seventh-day Adventist, 1681 S. 6th Ave., will host a five-week prophecy seminar beginning at 7 p.m. Friday. Receive a free Bible, study guides and child care. Admission is free. For more information, call 783-6833.
Rummage sale
Calvary Lutheran Church, 711 7th Ave., will have a rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 23. Clothing, small appliances, dishes, linens, bedding, tools, office equipment.

Student auction, barbecue
Foothills Southern Baptist Church, 13148 E. 40th St., will have a student auction and barbecue Feb. 23.
Barbecue and silent auction is 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with live auction beginning at noon. Barbecue tickets are $8 at the door. Take-out is available. Child care is available for $2 per hour, per child. Proceeds will provide funding for FSBC students to attend ministry.
