Rummage sales
• Calvary Lutheran Church, 711 7th Ave., will have a rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. today. Items include clothing, small appliances, dishes, linens, bedding, tools, office equipment. Profits will benefit local nonprofit organizations. For information, call the church at 783-3024.
• St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 1550 S. 14th Ave., will have a rummage sale from 7 a.m. to noon March 2. Items include collector's plates, books, paintings, bedding, lamps, dishes, small appliances, furniture, toys, shoes, purses, games, VHS cassettes and clothes for the family.
• St. John Neumann Church, Father Friel Centre, 11545 E. 40th St., will have a rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 8. A continental breakfast, lunch and fresh baked goods will be available for a small fee. For more information, call 342-3544.
Yuma assembly
The Spanish-speaking public is invited to a two-day assembly for Jehovah's Witnesses from 9:40 a.m. to 3:55 p.m. today and Sunday at Post Auditorium, 400 W. 5th St.

Blood drive

Student auction, barbecue
Foothills Southern Baptist Church, 13148 E. 40th St., will have a student auction and barbecue today.
Barbecue and silent auction is 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with live auction beginning at noon. Barbecue tickets are $8 at the door. Take-out is available. Child care is available for $2 per hour, per child. Proceeds will provide funding for FSBC students to attend ministry.
Gospel concert
The Blackwood Legacy Quartet will present a special concert at 7 p.m. Friday at Victory Community Church, 11358 S. Avenue 9E.
The quartet continues the tradition of gospel music, performing nearly 250 dates annually nationwide. Concert is free; a freewill offering will be received. For more information, call the church at 344-4713.
Knox Brothers concert
The Knox Brothers will be in concert at 6 p.m. March 2 at Foothills Southern Baptist Church, 13148 E. 40th St. Admission is free; a freewill offering will be received.
Women's brunch
Yuma Christian Women's Connection will have guest speaker Diane Blissett give a talk March 6 at Ramada Inn, 300 E. 32nd St. The topic “Keep Looking Up” will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Cost is $12, inclusive. St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 1550 S. 14th Ave., will have Lenten services Wednesdays through March 20 at 8 a.m. with Eucharist, compline service at 5:30 p.m., stations of the cross at 6 p.m. and the movie “Dekalog” at 6:30 p.m.
Music fellowship
Ron and Opal Erickson will present the Legacy Gospel music fellowship concert every Tuesday at Community Christian Church, 6480 E. Highway 95. There will be food, snacks and coffee from 1 to 2 p.m., concert from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Free; donations accepted.
Clothes for the needy
Central Church of Christ, 651 W. 28th St., will give free clothes for the needy from 9:30 a.m. to noon Thursdays.
Gospel sing
The public is invited to a gospel sing from 6 to 8 p.m. Arizona time every Friday at Bard Community Building, 1250 Bard Road. A potluck will follow.
