Gila Ridge cheer headed for nationals

The Gila Ridge High competition cheer squad took first place in its division of the UCA Arizona State Championships on Saturday and will be attending February's national competition at Disney World.
The 20-girl squad, in its first year as a competition group, is coached by Natasha Hertzig. The state competition took place at the Dodge Theater in Phoenix.
The Hawks are attempting to raise nearly $30,000 for their expenses to made the trip to Orlando, Fla. Families or businesses interested in donating or becoming a sponsor can contact Michelle Kish at 246-5490 or grhscheermom@yahoo.com
