Latest conspiracy: Election Day?
The long lines at the polling places here on Nov. 6 angered a lot of people, understandably.
I heard from a reader who complained bitterly about it and ended by asking if maybe it wasn't a conspiracy to keep Republicans like him and his wife from voting.
I could only shake my head and wonder why it was any more a conspiracy against Republicans than the many Democrats and independents also waiting in line to vote and equally upset about it.
Obviously, some changes need to be made to speed up the process in future elections, but why does something like this have to be seen as a conspiracy? A lack of foresight, perhaps, but a conspiracy?
I think we have gone conspiracy crazy in this nation. I wish everyone would just relax a little and realize that stuff happens.
