Willie J. and Dolores Corea renewed their vows Feb. 9 in celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary at the Sonoran Pueblo club at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma. The ceremony was performed by Monsignor O' Keefe, followed by a dinner and dance. Music was performed by Master D, the couple's nephew, Donald Murrietta Sr.
Dolores Sosa married Willie Corea on Feb. 15, 1958, in Yuma. Arturo and Stella Mesa, who served as maid of honor and best man, were present for the celebration.
The couple are both native Yumans. Willie retired from Mohawk Wholesale after 48 years of employment.
Approximately 200 family and friends were in attendance with the couple's children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren hosting the celebration. Victor Sr. and Rose Ann Roman, Willie Corea Jr., Arturo and Susan Roman, Henry and Patsy Hernandez, Adolfo Sr. and Sandy Ramos, Greg and Cecelia Corea, Simon Sr. and Yolanda Corea. Also 19 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
