Council members should be replaced

"You should be ashamed" was a common phrase used back when I was a kid when you did something wrong or inappropriate. That was back when people had shame and cared about what other people thought about them.

Not to say that our Yuma City Council cares what we the taxpayers (voters) think about them or how much money they have wasted, how infantile they are in getting along with each other, the unwillingness to listen to recommendations made by wise citizens (the honorable Phil Clark) and others.

Moving the call to the public to the last part of the meeting matters not because they don’t listen anyway; it is just another way for them to say persona non grata. I wrote a letter to them last year about this time and went to the meeting and presented it to them. It was a waste of paper and a waste of time. Some folks are asking for a recall, as for me I think they should be tarred and feathered and run out of town on a rail.

They should be ashamed, but if they have no shame then we as citizens of what could be a great city should replace them with honorable, ethical, well-meaning people who can take an oath and live by it.
