Adrienne Inez Heredia

Adrienne Inez Heredia passed away on Friday, June 24, 2005 in Yuma at age 29. She was born on April 8, 1976 in Yuma.

Adrienne worked at the Yuma Proving Grounds outside of Yuma. She was an active member with the Yuma Youth Boxing Association and the City of Yuma Ladies Softball & Co-Rec.

She is survived by her mother, Dora Velazquez, of Yuma; brothers, Arthur, Angel, and Axel Bedoya, of Yuma; sister, Brenda Miller, of Yuma; and father, Art Bedoya, of Yuma.

A wake and rosary will be held at Immaculate Conception Church on Thursday, July 7, 2005, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral Services will be at Immaculate Conception Church on Friday, July 8, 2005, at 9 a.m. with Father Monsignor officiating. Burial will follow at Desert Lawn Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Angel Bedoya, Axel Bedoya, Arthur Bedoya, Xavier Allen, Richard Carbajal, and Zack Garcia.

Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Orta and Johnny Orta.

Andreas Manuel Crawford

Andreas Manuel Crawford was born on September 3, 1991 in Yuma. He died at the age of 13 on June 24, 2005. He was in the seventh grade.

Enrique was active in the Yuma Youth Boxing Association and Yuma Babe Ruth.

He is survived by his father, Kenneth Roy Crawford, of Yuma; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ken Lee Crawford, of Hubert, North Carolina; Uncle and Aunt Leon Crawford, of Ewing, New Jersey, Uncle Donald Crawford, of Fort Jackson, South Carolina, Uncle and Aunt John A. Crawford, of Killeen, Texas, Aunt Monica Crawford, of Jacksonville, North Carolina, and Aunt Allison Crawford, of Tacoma, Washington.

A wake and rosary will be held at Immaculate Conception Church on Thursday, July 7, 2005, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral Services will be at Immaculate Conception Church on Friday, July 8, 2005, at 9 a.m. with Father Monsignor officiating. Burial will follow at Desert Lawn Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Johnny A. Ortiz Sr., Johnny H. Ortiz Jr., Dale Kreger, Bob Dennis, Quaid Smith, and Nick Orta.

Enrique Christopher Bedoya

Enrique Christopher Bedoya was born on September 30, 1992 in Yuma. He died at the age of 12 on June 24, 2005. He was in the sixth grade.

Enrique was active in the Yuma Youth Boxing Association and Yuma Babe Ruth.

Danny Lee Heredia, III

Danny Lee Heredia III, was born on May 6, 1999. He died on June 24, 2005 in Yuma. He was 6 years old.Danny had completed kindergarten and was a member of Yuma Youth Tee-Ball.

Danny is survived by his father, Danny Lee Heredia, Jr., of Yuma.

Inez L. Newman

Inez L. Newman, 9, passed away June 24, 2005. She was born January 19, 2005 in Yuma. She completed 3rd grade and was a member of YYFTL.

Inez is survived by her father, William C. Newman Jr.; brothers, William C. Newman III, Joshua Newman, Nathan D. Newman, and Andrew G. Newman; sisters, Drew H. Newman and Derirae J. Newman; grandmother, Tommie J. Brown, all of Yuma; and grandfather, William C. Newman Sr., of Salinas, California.

Inez was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, John G. Hodges and Lucille A. Hodges.

Daniel Wayne Sprague

Daniel W. Sprague, 46, passed away on Friday, July 1, 2005 at home in Yuma.He was born on August 7, 1958 in Yuma and started a career in commercial diving before returning to his family's roots in the firearm industry. He served as a Master Weapons Technician and advisor to the film industry with over 50 major films to his credit. Danny was also a lifetime member of the NRA and a staunch republican.

Danny is survived by his brother, Richard D. (Allyson B.) Sprague, of Yuma; nephews, Taylor Lee Sprague, of Yuma and Chad Converse, of Ft. Bragg, NC; and niece, Hailey Converse, of Yuma.

He was preceded in death by his father, George W. Sprague; and mother, Jeanette D. Sprague.

Memorial services will be held at Calvary Temple of Christ, 4151 S. Ave. 3E on Thursday, July 7, 2005 at 10 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Yuma or the Humane Society.

Richard Davis

Richard Davis, 68, passed away June 26, 2005 in Phoenix, Arizona.He was born May 3, 1937 in Somerton.Richard retired from Cocopah Casino where he was a maintenance worker.

Richard is survived by his sisters, Betty Jean Davis, of Yuma, Martha Stokes, of Yuma, Ruth Esther Davis, of Yuma and Mildred Ann Davis, of Somerton; brothers, David Davis, of Yuma and Edward Davis, of Somerton. He is also survived by eleven nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jay and Lucy Davis.

A traditional Cocopah ceremony will be held Friday July 8, 2005 beginning at5 p.m. at the east Cocopah Big House and ending 5 a.m. Saturday. Final resting place will be at East Cocopah Reservation.

Linda K. Collins

Linda went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 2, 2005 when she lost her battle with cancer.

The youngest of five children, Linda was born in Sioux Falls,South Dakota on October 20, 1947 to Homer and Edna (Schultz) Richard.

Growing up in Peoria, Illinois Linda was a soprano in her church's choir and a Girl Scout. She had a spirit of love and laughter that will be missed by all who knew her.

Besides being a devoted wife, Mother, and Grandmother, Linda wasan active member of the Women's Auxiliary of the VFW aswell as an active voice for abused childrenwith Yuma County's CASA program.

Linda is survived bysix children, F. Mike (Luz) Collins, of Great Falls, Montana, Margaret (Craig) Cerny, of Orange, Texas, Laura (Craig) Shorb, of Peoria, Arizona, Sean (LaVonne) Collins, of Clearlake, Minnesota, Wayne Collins, of Phoenix, Arizona, and Michael (Kristy) Brady, of Longbeach, California; brothers, Marland and Loren Richard; sister, Judy Borcherding; 12 grandchildren; andone great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; parents; and one brother.

Services will be held at10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 8, 2005 at Sunset Vista Funeral Home.

Services will be officiated by Chaplain Paul Gambling with a private interment to follow.

The family requests that any cards or flowersbe sent to the funeral home.

Mildred S. Florence

Mildred Millie Stephanie Florence, 87, died at sunrise Sunday morning, July 3, 2005 in Yuma from complications due to a fall. She was born June 14, 1918 in Detroit, Michigan, and had lived in Yuma since 1979.

Millie was a long-time resident of Villa Palo Verde, but for the past year and a half had resided at Desert Rose Gracious Retirement Apartments. During her time in Yuma, she volunteered for many years at the Adult Center. Millie also loved to travel, and for much of the past 26 years she accompanied her daughter, who lives and works overseas. She lived in such places as England, Italy, Germany, and Russia.

Millie was married to Charles E. Florence, who died in 1962.

Millie is survived by her sister, Violet Campau, of Southgate, Michigan; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Margaret Florence, of Yuma; son, William Florence, of Sierra Vista, Arizona; daughter, Jane Florence, who currently resides in Paris, France; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. All of her children were in Yuma when she passed on.

At her request, no services are planned, and arrangements have been made for a private cremation.

We all will miss her

unselfish love.
