Be one of Santa's elves for KIDS CuddleKits
Get into the Christmas spirit by helping local children in need at the upcoming KIDS CuddleKit Kindness Makes a Difference Day.
On Dec. 15, 200 Yuma-area kids will be invited to the Christmas Village at the Quartermaster Depot State Historic Park to experience snow, Santa's workshop, face painting, and much more, in addition to getting their Holiday CuddleKit. This care package will include new shoes, a hoodie sweatshirt, fleece blanket, and a gift from their wish list. To pay the kindness forward, the children will decorate cookies for a local nursing facility.
Volunteer seamstresses are needed to sew flannel pillowcases, and helpers are also needed to cut and tie fleece blankets and help at the event itself. Several sponsorship opportunities are also available, including the $100 child sponsorship, which covers everything in the Holiday CuddleKit and special treats at the event. Sponsors are invited to attend the party and personally deliver their kits.
Contact Kristan Sheppeard at 246-9108 or Kids@cuddlekit.org with any questions or if you would like be a sponsor or volunteer.
