Colorful Strong Hearts pow wow this weekend
The Strong Hearts Native Society hosts its 32nd annual pow wow Friday through Sunday.
The cultural celebration will be held at the San Pasqual School Football Field, 676 Baseline Road, two miles north of Yuma in Winterhaven.
In addition to traditional dancing, the pow wow will feature Native arts and crafts, including jewelry, painting, weaving, kachinas, basketry and ceramics, as well as musical performances, fry bread and Native artists.
Admission is $7 for adults, $4 for juniors (ages 11-17) and free for kids 10 and under. A weekend pass is available for $10.
