A Mountain Dew breakfast drink?

Looking for a new breakfast drink? Apparently, Mountain Dew thinks it has a beverage for you.

Called Kickstart, the new drink allegedly has the Mountain Dew taste but is made with 5 percent juice and has added vitamins … plus, an extra dose of caffeine.

Somehow, I don't think I'm the target market for this product.

Once upon a time, I did enjoy a little Mountain Dew here and there. But I gave up soda many years ago and haven't missed it a bit.

In fact, I recently had a sip of a sibling's Mountain Dew when I was very thirsty, and I immediately felt the need to brush my teeth. It was like sipping pure sugar.

Mountain Dew says it wants to provide another option to traditional morning drinks.

I have to wonder, though … what's wrong with a lovely glass of juice, or a little tea?
