Holistic health duo to host seminar
Comments 0 | Recommend 0 The co-founders of a holistic health supplement company will host a free seminar in Yuma Friday, and a representative with the company said he hopes it will be the first of many in the area.
Tylene Megley and Sean Loomer are co-founders of OneBode Inc., a company that makes "whole food nutrient" supplements designed to help the body's digestive system break down food.
The pair will host a nutritional awareness seminar from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Yuma Civic Center, 1440 W. Desert Hills Drive.
Henry Downing, a OneBode representative who lives in Yuma, said the seminar will begin with Megley taking blood samples.
Then the representatives will be able to recommend supplements that could help the body with various deficiencies, he said.
"I'm able to tell over 50 different nutritional deficiencies from one drop of blood," Megley said.
She said it's important to see what's going on in the red blood cells and "keep them happy."
With 29 different products, Megley said, they recommend products that help the body break down food so it can absorb the nutrients.
Downing said after blood samples are taken, Megley and Loomer will be speak about the various products and will be available for consultation.
He previously hosted a OneBode seminar in Yuma with about 20 to 30 people. This time around, Downing hopes for a higher turnout.
He said through the company's referral program, he's able to earn money, which is an additional perk to also feeling better from the supplements.
Megley said the company is growing. Last month, she said, it doubled its gross sales.
Through working with the company, she said, people can improve their health and improve their finances.
Downing, who will leave Yuma at the end of the month to move to Phoenix, said he hopes another representative will take over for the Yuma area.
"If you're ambitious enough to create an event, they can have the same opportunity," Downing said. "If they want to be able to have a healthy life and preserve their health, (it's) a great way to do that and meet people."
