Make comments on APS increase
Comments 0 | Recommend 0I have a home in Yuma and I was billed the following for my electrical consumption by Arizona Public Service:
July 2006, 4145 kwh, $ 344.40
July 2009, 3933 kwh, $ 407.64
The electrical increase from 2006 to 2009 is over 18 percent.
APS has filed an application for a 13.07 percent rate increase and an Arizona Corporation Commission hearing on this increase will be held Wednesday.
In my July 2009 APS bill a note was attached that stated: “Permanent BASE Rate Increase Docket Number E-01345A-08-0172 ... The total base rate increase is $ 344.7 million (13.07 percent on average). The Commission will hold a hearing on this matter beginning Aug. 19, 2009."
Written public comments may be submitted to the ACC via e-mail (a form is available on its Web site at http://www.cc.state.az.us/ ) or by mailing a letter referencing Docket No. E-01345A-08-0172 to:
Arizona Corporation Commission

The current Arizona Corporation Commission members are:

Sandra Kennedy, 602-542-3625, kennedy-web@azcc.gov
Bob Stump, 602-542-3935, stump-web@azcc.gov
I would encourage APS customers to contact the corporation commission and let their thoughts be heard regarding this increase.
