World Ag Expo
celebrates 45 years
World Ag Expo will celebrate 45 years of excellence Feb. 14-16 in Tulare, Calif., with more than 1,400 exhibitors displaying cutting-edge agricultural technology and equipment. More than 40 seminars will be offered in beef, dairy, hay and forage, international trade, irrigation and general agriculture categories.
Entertainment will include country music artist Trace Adkins headlining Concerts for a Cause on Feb. 14 and the Ag Warriors Gala on Feb. 15. On Feb. 16, the Airoso family will host a dairy cattle auction in the Entertainment Pavilion, showcasing 25 to 30 head of their registered Holstein breeding stock.

Farm Smart tours
Once again, the University of California Desert Research and Extension Center in Holtville is offering the Farm Smart Program with hayride tours of the center, lunch, musical entertainment and produce that participants can pick and take home.

Tours run from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Arizona time. To reach the center, take Interstate 8 west to Exit 120 (Bowker Road), turn north for 2 miles to Even-Hewes Highway; turn right (east) and go 1.5 miles to Meloland Road, turn left and make an immedidate right onto Holton Road; parking is on the left.
