DAN WORTHEN

Dan Worthen, IT Computer Tech II, has been named as the Yuma County Library District’s 2007 Employee of the Year.

A library employee since 1997, he was nominated for the honor for his selfless service as the only person in the Information Technology Division for a year after his supervisor retired.

During that time, he was always available for calls from staff, providing service for all library branches. He also worked with the architects to design locations for the cabling and technology that would be needed.

DR. HABTEAB FESEHA

Habteab Feseha, M.D., FACC, has been elected as a fellow to the American College of Cardio- logy. Physicians are elected to Fellowship based on outstanding credentials, achievements and community contributions to cardiovascular medicine.

Board certified in cardiology, Dr. Feseha is in practice with Red Sea Heart Center of Yuma and can be reached at 344-9300.

MICHAEL MILLER

Michael Miller, a member of the Arizona Western College faculty, was selected as a faculty scholar for the 2008 Phi Theta Kappa Faculty Scholar Conference and 2008 Phi Theta Kappa International Honors Institute.

He was one of only 24 selected for the honor. Applicants must be Phi Theta Kappa advisers who have exhibited exceptional knowledge of the current honors study topic, "The Paradox of Affluence: Choices, Challenges and Consequences," and demonstrated excellence in teaching.

Miller, a 17-year Yuma resident, has a doctorate in English. He teaches English, film and journalism and is director of the AWC Honors program.
