Panel to discuss San Luis Film Festival
As part of the Second Annual San Luis Film Festival, Arizona Western College will hold a panel discussion of film directors and a dialogue with students and staff.
The panel discussion will be held Thursday from 1:40 to 3:30 p.m. in AC 282 on AWC's main campus, 2020 S. Avenue 8E, in Yuma.
The film panel will consist of Guillermo Garcia Vejar, film director and artistic director; Socorro Mendez Diaz, film director and producer; Lilia L. Velazco Valle, film producer; Jorge Yair Leyva Robles, film director; Alexia Vazquez, film actress; and Robert Gwinn, film producer.
Film showings will run through Friday beginning at 7 p.m. each night at the Cesar Chavez Cultural Center, 1015 N. Main St. in San Luis, Ariz. The remaining films are in Spanish with English subtitles.

Spring choral concerts presented
Arizona Western College choirs will perform music celebrating spring and sacred music compositions during their annual presentation of “A Spring Choral Concert.”
Concerts will be held Friday at 7 p.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 1550 S. 14th Ave., in Yuma, and Sunday at 4 p.m. at Gloria de Cristo Lutheran Church, 11273 E. 40th St., in the Foothills.
While both concerts are free and open to the public, donations will be accepted.
“The performances will celebrate spring with a variety of pieces, including ‘April Is in My Mistress' Face,' ‘To Music,' ‘Three Hungarian Folk Songs,' ‘Ain' That Good News' and ‘With a Voice of Singing,'” stated AWC.
