Red Cross helping 2 after RV destroyed
The American Red Cross Grand Canyon Chapter is assisting two adults whose RV was destroyed by fire early Monday morning.
The fire began at about 2:30 a.m. in the Tumbleweed Trailer Park, 250 West 27th Street. Upon arrival, firefighters with the Yuma Fire Department found heavy smoke and flames emanating from the RV.
Nearby RVs were evacuated as the fire was extinguished. The RV was uninhabitable following the blaze. There were no injuries reported.
The Red Cross has provided the adults with clothing and shelter.
