Three firefighters with the Somerton/Cocopah Fire Department were transported to the hospital Friday night after the fire truck they were traveling in rolled over.
The incident happened at about 6:45 p.m. on the levee road at County 17th Street, about half a mile east of the international border with Mexico.
According to the Yuma County Sheriff's Office, the fire truck rolled over as the crew was on its way to fight a reported brush fire near the Colorado River.
The three firefighters were transported to Yuma Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.Two of the three firefighters were released from the hospital Friday night while the third remained for observation.
The incident is being investigated by YCSO.
