Hawks' boys, girls win meet at Havasu
Emily Reh took first place in the 50 and 100-yard freestyle for the Hawks with times of 28 and 58 seconds respectively as Gila Ridge took first place in boys and girls dual meets against Lake Havasu and Kofa. Kofa finished second in the girls' competition (109) and third in boys (92) and Havasu finished third (76) in girls and second (97) in boys.
Gila Ridge's Andrew Gough took first place in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:09.
"It was a longer pool (25 meters) and it was a wave pool so it was a bit deeper," Gila Ridge coach Rachel Eggers said. "The kids overcame all the obstacles beautifully."
Kofa's Jonathan Duran took first place in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:29.
