YC avenges earlier loss

The Yuma Catholic girls soccer team topped Gila Ridge 2-0 on Thursday.

The home win makes up for a loss at Gila Ridge on penalty kicks earlier in the season. Jackie Hill had goals in 30th and 54th minute for the Shamrocks.

“I think we were doing a lot better with our passing,” Yuma Catholic coach Jesus Quintana said. “We moved it quite a bit. And our defense did a great job. We really didn't allow them many shots.”
