Ballet Yuma to present 'Giselle' Saturday

Ballet Yuma will present "Giselle," featuring Act II, at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Snider Auditorium, 400 S. 6th Ave.

Guest dancers Ariana Samuelsson and Geoff Gonzalez, courtesy of City Ballet of San Diego, will perform as Giselle and Count Albrecht.

Tickets for the performance are $10, $12, and $15, and are available at Dillard’s in the Yuma Palms Regional Center, and at the door.

In addition to "Giselle," Ballet Yuma will perform "The Orchid" by Daniel Marshall, "Valse Elegant" by Jeffrey Gribler, "Ballet Petit" by Kathleen Sinclair, and "Billy and the Hil’lilies" by Emma MK Cong.

According to a news release from Ballet Yuma, Marshall is an award-winning choreographer and director of LaDiego Dance Theatre in San Diego . Gribler has been the principal dancer and ballet master for Pennsylvania Ballet and has staged works across the United States and in Europe. Emma MK Cong is the artistic assistant for Ballet Yuma and has won awards for her choreography through Regional Dance America.
