Where is help for the workers?

Comments 0 | Recommend 0

I cannot stand by any longer and listen to the television commercials that are so misleading and outright lies. They promise things they do not deliver. Any company that's offers 70 to 80 percent off on products must have a huge mark up on their merchandise. No business can afford to make products at a loss.

I question this job our government agencies are doing. The FDA has allowed our foods to be contaminated. These agencies all claim to be under-funded. I feel as though the federal government has way too many employees, many of whom are not performing.

Why do states, counties and cities have to cut employees and the federal government keeps hiring more? In my opinion the federal government is too big already.

These government jobs have high salaries while the workers of this country are not receiving any raises and in many cases are losing their jobs, which costs our state a huge amount in unemployment benefits.

Where are the benefits for the American work force? The government has bailed out financial institutions, banks, automobile companies and have never given a dime to the working people of this country.

Social Security recipients will not get a raise this year and Medicare benefits may be cut. How are we on fixed incomes going to survive? We are barely able to meet our obligations now.

Many people will have to declare bankruptcy to save their homes. To me this is a terrible option. Try to work with your creditors to work out a plan to survive this blot on your credit.
