Amendment has no conditions for owning gun
A Jan. 11 article rails on about gun owners seemingly being able to laugh about “20 dead first graders splattered across their classroom floor.”
I am a gun owner and I can say that is insulting at best. I know of no gun owner who is laughing about what happened.
Of course after such an event, the left always goes for gun control as if taking guns and gun rights away from the 99 percent of law-abiding gun owners will fix the problem. I could go on about ways to kill but I won't, everyone has heard it before.
Then the left wants to tell us what kind of weapons we DON'T NEED. Such as the question “Do civilians need an assault rifle?” It is none of your business as long as I am one of the 99 percent of the law-abiding citizenry. I don't tell you what kind of a car you can to drive, and cars kill many more people every year than all the gun deaths combined.
There is a reason the Second Amendment is in the Constitution. You left-wingers ought to read it, it says “the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.” It doesn't say “contingent upon a bunch of rules made up by government,” It doesn't say “you can have a gun for hunting.” It makes no conditions about gun ownership.
Let's face it – the Second Amendment is there to protect us all from a tyrannical government. It is that simple. I can also tell you the vast majority of gun owners in this country will not give up their gun rights. I guess lawful gun owners will then join the 1 percent and become unlawful gun owners. How can the left continue to infringe on our gun rights and then tell us it is not an infringement of our clearly stated Second Amendment rights. When you infringe upon our gun rights you take away the one thing our constitution guarantees ... FREEDOM.
