Words on Parade - photo
Comments 0 | Recommend 0About 600 students showed off their vocabulary skills recently in the Salida Del Sol School's Vocabulary Hat Parade. As part of their lessons, the students of the Crane elementary school designed hats in the likenesses of words they were studying, then wore the hats as they walked in a parade through the school bus loop that attracted a crowd of proud parents. The first-graders wore hats depicting nouns and verbs, while second-graders' hats were fashioned in the likenesses of compound words. Third-graders wore hats representing science technology.
