First H1N1 vaccines arrive in Yuma County

Officials with the Yuma County Health Department announced Wednesday that the department received its first batch of the H1N1 vaccine.

According to a news release, the first 1,900 H1N1 vaccination doses, in the form of a nasal spray, will be distributed to health care providers who will initially target health care workers and pediatric patients. The nasal spray form of the vaccine is intended for health individuals from ages 2 to 49.
