High schoolers taking exams this week

Start and end time for some Yuma Union High School District classes may look different this week because of final exam testing.

Students at Cibola, Gila Ridge, Kofa, San Luis and Yuma high schools will take their fall exams through Wednesday. Classes will begin at 7:30 a.m. and students will be dismissed at 10:40 a.m. Vista students will receive information on their campus regarding any changes to their schedule.

“To increase the likelihood of success, it is important that students are encouraged to attend school every day and especially on test days,” stated YUHSD officials.

“They should be well-rested and have eaten well the evening before each test. Breakfast is provided free to each student on every district campus. Finally, we would like to ask the community, as well as our parents, to show their support and belief in the abilities of our youth by encouraging students to do their best on these tests.”

Parents can contact their student's school if they have any additional questions:

• Yuma High School - 502-5000

• Kofa High School - 502-5400

• Cibola High School - 502-5700

• Vista Alternative High School - 343-2521

• San Luis High School - 502-6100

• Gila Ridge High School - 502-6400
