Boone Rountree
Boone Rountree, an alumnus of NAU-Yuma, where he earned a master's in human relations, received honorable mention for his student poster at the 2012 American Psychological Association convention in Orlando, Fla.

Rountree's research poster was entered in the International Psychology division where he competed against students from the U.S. Japan, Korea, and Greece, among others.

Margaret Mai
Margaret Mai, Yuma County Family and Community Education president, recently attended the 76th annual conference for the National Association for Family and Community Education in Erlanger, Ky. A family community leadership workshop was conducted where attendees were taught leadership skills, volunteerism, and new teaching techniques.

Phillip M. Igoe
Ensign Phillip M. Igoe has recently graduated from Nuclear Propulsion Training in Charleston, S.C. He graduated in Aug. 12, 2011, from Nuclear Power School in Charleston. He was commissioned on Dec. 3, 2010, as a submarine warfare officer in Newport, R.I.

Igoe graduated from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, with a bachelor's in mechanical engineering and a bachelor's in mathematics.

Igoe, the son of Michael and Teresa Igoe of Yuma, is a 2005 graduate of Cibola High School and is stationed in Honolulu, Hawaii.
