Cibola boys, girls defeat Criminals
The Cibola boys swim team beat Yuma High 142-27 with six different individual event winners, and the Raider girls defeated the Lady Criminals 83-67 on Wednesday.
Jake Stiffler was the only Raider boy to to win two individual events, taking the 100-yard breaststroke 1 minute, 13.90 seconds and the 50 freestyle in 26.07 seconds. Yuma's Jonas Moore kept Cibola from taking all the top times on the boys' side, winning the 100 free in 1.00:10.
Criminal girls Myriah Frabasilio (100 backstroke, 100 butterfly) and Ashton Hobbs (500 free, 100 breast) each won two individual events. Yuma also won two of the three relay events, but didn't grab enough of the second and third-place points to get the team win.
Cibola girl individual winners were Monique Dirlam (200 free) and Jesse Kaba (200 individual medley).
