Truck can't avoid pedestrian (photo)

A juvenile was transported to Yuma Regional Medical Center after being hit by a truck Friday night. According to YPD, the incident happened at about 7:30 p.m. when the juvenile ran into the intersection of 1st Avenue and 20th Street. The truck, headed southbound on 1st Avenue, was unable to avoid the juvenile. The juvenile remained in a fetal position on the street until being taken away by emergency responders. The driver was not ticketed.
