Learn about Middle East at panel discussion
For those interested in learning more about the Middle East, Arizona Western College is holding a panel discussion about the area on Thursday.
The AWC Rotaract Club and International Programs will be presenting the “Essentials of the Middle East” at 12:15 p.m. at the college's main campus, 2020 S. Avenue 8E, in the South Wing of the Schoening Conference Center.
“Local professionals from Syria, Egypt, Jordan, Armenia, Lebanon and more will present on topics including culture, people, food and music,” stated AWC.
Speakers include Dr. Dania Sueidan, an obstetrician and gynecologist in Yuma originally from Jordan; Zarmineh, a professional belly dancer from Iran; and Najeh Edeis, a professional civil engineer from Palestine.
The free event will be open to the public and there will also be food available from the Middle East after the program discussion.
