Disturbing trends in society
Everyone is trying to figure out why a 12-year-old boy would take a gun to school in Sparks, Nev., kill a teacher, wound two students and then kill himself.
I saw an interview with one of the students who allegedly witnessed the ordeal, who said the shooter shouted, "You ruined my life!"
My goodness, his life had just begun. I’m thinking he was going through puberty or close to it, so he had everything ahead of him, everything.
I see a disturbing trend, where more and more people mimic what they see on TV and in video games and no longer are able to differentiate between reality and fantasy.
Then I’m driving back from an assignment Tuesday and I see six-inch letters on the back window of an SUV that read "(expletive) it."
And I thought, that’s where we are now as a society; what was once not acceptable is commonplace, like solving your problems with a gun.
