Go fly a kite

You cannot fly a kite without wind. Kites are lifted by the pressure of wind against them. A connected string prevents being carried away.

Steady, gentle breezes are preferable for kite flying. A large kite requires a strong wind. It’s apparent that without the pressure of a strong wind, there will not be any “BIG” flights.

String strategically attached to the center and front of a kite ascertains angle and alignment. Restriction provided by the string gives lift and security. The strong grasp of a trained hand holding the string will prevent ascent into the sky without control, ending in a disappointing and assured crash.

Essential to a kite’s successful flight is the tail. Strong gusts of wind are not a destructive consequence to the kite that has balance from the designed burden of its tail.

Without pressure, restriction and weight, a kite would not fly. Strong pressure (conflict), definite restriction (control) and weight (stability) contribute to successfully eventful and productive flights. Conflict, the wind, lifts to higher accomplishments. Control, the string, provides direction. Weight, the tail, produces stability.

Kite flying in the wind has a great lesson. Lifting winds of conflict, a controlling string of direction, and the weight of stability are necessary for flight. The kite without winds of conflict, a directing string, a stabilizing tail will have a very limited experience of successful flight —if it ever flies.
