Living liberty on July 4
Liberty. “Opportunity Unlimited … Freedom of Choice!”
Life in the United States of America is ours. Liberating choices were made 350 years ago. Early settlers whose heart cried for “liberty to live” came to North American shores. Inscribed on the record of freedom's cause 115 years later is Patrick Henry's declaration, “Give me liberty or give me death.” His words have the reality of choice: liberty or death.
Where you are does not determine real freedom. Freedom is inside. Consider two people in prison; one looked out the window at night and saw bars, the other saw beyond the bars and admired stars. Circumstances cannot control a heart with freedom's hope.
Wise words have stated what a person thinks is what they are. The opportunity of choice is God's desire for man. Your day has divinely granted liberty to make choices that unlock the doors of despair, discouragement, defeat and hopelessness.
Live in liberty. Do what determines a life of freedom the way God designed.
